Tribute
Daddy my daddy, Christian Otobotekere was a simple man who instilled specific attributes in me, such as being accountable for responsibilities entrusted to me. He exposed me to real-world responsibilities early while growing up, shaping my approach to life. For example, putting me in charge of all his construction project worksites, and teaching me to give account, “in writing” for every penny given to carry out tasks.
Daddy retired from work and business into full-time poetry writing and made me part of his manuscript writing team whenever I was available!!!
He taught me several salient lessons, even close to his passing on, that have been very valuable and have helped me navigate difficult situations!!
He was a devoted practical Christian, father, Poet, King of Tombia and an inspiration to me and many others!
I miss him dearly, but his legacy lives on and inspires me to forge ahead!!!

Daddy was the soul of Tombia Ekpetiama village. A true leader and father. He was strong, and kind and welcomed me into his family wholeheartedly.
He was alert till the end, and I am glad we could celebrate with him at his 97th birthday, where he interacted with his grandkids and gave them memories they will never forget.
We love you dearly Daddy, and we miss you.
Love,
Ebitimi Okpofaa. (DAUGHTER-IN-LAW).
